Tully Training Area Road Works - Tully

Overview

The Tully Training Area Road Works project involved the delivery of civil and structural maintenance works along the 14km length of Jarra Creek Road within the Jungle Training Wing (JTW), Tully, QLD.

The project was constructed in compliance with the Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD specifications (MRTS).

The scope of works included:

  • Re-decking of two existing steel bridges – Bridges 1 and 2

  • Replacement of two exiting steel bridges – Bridges 3 and 4

All works were carried out within a Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, and as a result, adhered to strict Natural Heritage constraints, Native Tile and Traditional Owner considerations to achieve minimal disruption to the local environment.
